In order to enhance the overall well-being of my patients and their families, I never stop pushing the boundaries, advocating for patient-centered care, and using cutting-edge methods.
During the COVID-19, Karma began working in the midst of the global health crisis. She started her career at NYC H+H/ Woodhull as a nursing student extern, and in February, she would have been a bedside nurse on the medical-surgical unit for three years.

According to Karma, “The nursing profession is distinct in that it is based on caring and compassion. Since I was a little child, becoming a nurse and giving my patients the best care possible has been my passion. Aside from the difficulties we encounter, I enjoy what I do, and I am proud that my steadfast dedication to patient care has won me the title of "Extraordinary Nurse." In order to enhance the overall well-being of my patients and their families, I never stop pushing the boundaries, advocating for patient-centered care, and using cutting-edge methods. I aspire to be a shining example of the beneficial impact a nurse can have on the lives of people. My journey, marked by passion, dedication, and an unyielding pursuit of excellence, serves as an example for medical professionals everywhere. The DAISY Award contributes to the development of a positive nursing culture because nurses who make a major difference in the lives of patients and their families are often the unsung heroes of healthcare. I sincerely thank each and every one of my patients and my colleagues for thinking of me for this award and for their part in making me an Honoree.”
