I was admitted in early December to begin my cancer/chemotherapy journey. Katelynn came in and introduced herself as my nurse for the day. She asked if I needed anything or had any questions. I did. Katelynn was very patient with me and answered every question. She even explained other things I never thought of. I knew she was busy, but she took the time to treat me with overwhelming kindness and patience. Two weeks later, I was readmitted, and Katelynn came into my room welcoming me back by name. I was very happy that she was my nurse for my 2-day stay. On both days she took the time to make sure I understood what was going on with my treatments, answer any questions, and made sure I was comfortable, asking if I needed anything. I can't say thank you enough to Katelynn. She is a kind, sweet and caring person. She has made my treatments more bearable and less frightening. She doesn't treat me like a patient, she has made me feel like a friend/family member.
