Katharine received her DAISY award nomination from one of her patients. She is a staff nurse in Family Birthplace/Labor & Delivery/Mother-Baby units (Night Shift). Katharine makes special connections, creates an environment for learning, and goes above and beyond:
"I gave birth to my baby boy and enjoyed Katie as my nurse so much I requested she be my nurse again for the next few nights. She was my nurse two out of a five night stay. I can honestly say she made my experience and my stay comfortable and smooth sailing. As a first time Mom I was scared and didn't know what to expect. She educated me while being empathetic and assuring me everything was going to be OK. Thank you so much Katie."
