Hi Katie, do you remember us? Well, we sure remember you! Just wanted to check in and let you know he is doing great and getting stronger and stronger every day. One of his goals was to walk our teenager across the field on Senior Day, which happened on Saturday. It was a completely beautiful, surreal moment with all 3 of us in tears. I'll never forget it. I can't thank you enough for everything you did for us. I always felt 100% more comforted knowing he was under your watch. The way you advocate for your patients and families is something to behold. I'm forever grateful for your expertise, patience, TLC, humor, careful explanations of every part of his care, the extra hugs, reminding me to take care of myself first, decoding confusing physician orders for me, and for speaking up about his "love" for the APRV. I know that moment made all the difference for him. You are truly gifted at what you do, and I thank God for allowing us to cross paths in such a profound way. You'll always have a very special place in my heart and I hope to see you again someday soon. Thanks again and huge hugs!
