Kathleen Adam, RN, BSN

Katy is an asset to the nightshift NICU team. She is our assistant night manager and makes such a difference in our morale, allowing us to better take care of our patients and families. She always has a huge smile on her face, is a cheerleader to staff, and is someone we can trust and count on. She has really grown so much in her role in the past couple of years. I have had many instances where I have been in situations of high stress, parent dissatisfaction, and staff dissatisfaction. She allows me a safe space to vent, gives me the courage to come up with solutions, and offers me guidance. Her trust in me gives me the space to trust in myself and my abilities as a CSL. This allows me to better care for our families and patients, as well as nurture and guide staff. Katy came to us as a travel nurse, and it has been a pleasure to watch her grow and to have her as a leader of our team.
