Our dearest friend of 35 years received the best care from Kathleen Mathews. He was living his last days with us in excruciating pain, struggling with a leaking ostomy bag and vertical open wound from an abscess post-surgery. She stepped in and took over his care, she obtained the care he needed, and intervened with the people he needed, making his final days comfortable.

She showed compassion for this dying young man and give him dignity and love. I felt blessed to have her watching over him. I thank her. She went to bat for him, calling multiple doctors getting them involved, making sure he was well provided for. She hugged us all and cried, but that didn't stop her.
