Kat was the night nurse in charge of the care of my mother. My mother was a very difficult patient who has never been hospitalized and was suffering severe back pain due to compression fractures. She wanted nothing to do with the hospital and sought nothing more than to be home. Kat put my mother's mind at ease and truly showed compassion to my mother and was responsive to her healthcare needs as my mother only slept about an hour and a half one night. In the morning at 6am my sister and I met with Kat and she shared with us the night's trials and tribulations, as well as the fact my mother had finally stated her pain level diminished to "3" and was resting quietly. Kat went above and beyond in caring for my mother, in talking the time to communicate with us and truly exemplified the meaning of a true caregiver. She truly cares about people and has a delightful sense of humor.
