Katie Irvin, RN

Katie was a great nurse that loved her patients. The NICU parents loved her for the excellent and loving care she gave their babies. Parents often commented that they could rest well knowing that Katie was their nurse. She had the sweetest smile and loved her coworkers. I recently heard her say that she wished she would get a DAISY nomination and pin someday. Tragically, Katie passed away last week. Our NICU family is mourning the loss of our friend and coworker. Katie left a mark on our unit, patients, parents, and staff. Katie will forever be a part of our NICU family. It would a deserving tribute to Katie to honor her with this award.
