My husband was a COVID patient. Katie was his nurse the day I had to have life support removed. I too tested positive for COVID, extreme measures were taken to let me in the room with him. Katie moved mountains to help - she met me outside and helped me put on protective gear. Her kindness and compassion were above and beyond any I have known. Katie answered all my questions and walked me into his room. She was so kind and compassionate with him - talking to him like she knew him. She explained everything that was going on and expressed sorrow for my ordeal. She stayed with me as I watched his life ebb away. I know nurses are special people, but Katie is so much more! My husband lost his battle but Katie is forever my hero for being there for him as well as for me!!!
