Katie has been a nurse for 6 months but from the moment she became a member of the team, she displayed an intent to be a constant for her patients. She makes sure she follows up on any questions the patients may have and if she doesn't know the answer she will find out. She takes pride in the care she provides not only to the patient but the family as well. She sees the family as the essential piece in the healing process and the motivation the patient needs to get through this difficult period. Her novel approach to patient care is evident with the comments her patients have written about her. I am proud to have Katie as a member of my team.
