Kayla Jones provided a level of care that exceeded my expectations when delivering my second baby. Immediately upon entering the triage room that my husband and I were in, she recalled meeting me the week before when I had to come in to be seen. She remembered me and that I had an older child at home! She immediately brought a sense of comfort and peace to the room during a very difficult time. Throughout my time in triage, Kayla was very reassuring and compassionate to both me and my husband. She advocated for myself and my baby by clearly communicating to other colleagues both mine and my baby’s needs in the moments that arose. Throughout my labor she was nothing but encouraging, kind, humorous (which my husband and I loved). A true angel. Through her careful thought and guidance, my husband was able to be an active and participative partner during the labor and birth process. Kayla never seemed to just be “going through the motions”. It seemed as if every action and word had true intent and purpose to provide a better experience for all of us. I could not have made it through my labor and birth without a nurse as amazing as Kayla. She truly made such an impact on myself and my family. I am so grateful she was a part of welcoming our second son into the world.
