I was helping some visitors to the parking garage yesterday, and in chatting with them I got to know a little of their story and why they were here. The women's father had been admitted to the hospital 10 days ago after he woke up confused and fell a few times. The family is from northern Oklahoma and was going home for the first time while we were still caring for the patient and finding placement at an SNF. This was a challenging time for the patient, who was in his 90s and lived independently up until this incident.
I asked the daughter if we were taking good care of them, and the daughter lit up and said that everyone had been amazing. She went on to say that Nursing, Case Management, Techs, Housekeeping and FNS had all been fantastic over the past 10 days. The daughter specifically called out Kaylyn, who she said joked around with her father and made him feel at ease, and brought some light and laughter during a tough time. I wanted to reach out and say thank you to Kaylyn and your team for providing such great care!
