My 91-year-old mother fell and fractured her hip. After having surgery, she moved to the 4th-floor rehab on Sunday. Everyone has been wonderful with her and provided all the services she needed to be able to walk again. Being 91, she is hard of hearing (having lost all hearing in her right ear and using a hearing aid in her left). Each time Keana was here she treated my mother and all of her other patients with such respect. She went out of her way to make sure they had all that was needed, always smiling, and really showing an interest in each of them.

As I stayed 7-7 most days I really saw what all nurses, aids, and therapists go through and I have a new respect for each of them. As I listened to Keana interact with my mother, then go from room to room, it was evident that she loves what she does and she truly cares about her patients. It's not easy doing some of the things that elderly or rehabilitation patients require and loved ones really appreciate knowing they are in good, quality care. When one can't care for themselves, it is hard to leave them and feel assured they will be taken care of as it were there a family member- this is how I felt when Keana was the nurse for the day. I want to thank her for the kindness she showed and for being such a wonderful nurse.
