Instead of feeling worried in a clinical atmosphere, my nurse Kelly treated me friendly and warmly.
Upon entering my ER room, my nurse Kelly was sympathetic, kind, and most of all down to earth. This made me feel relaxed and confident that she saw me as a real patient, not just a positive COVID lady. Kelly was very professional, carefully started my I.V., and continued to show a natural human side to me during my assessment. While remaining professional, she and I exchanged our children's ages, and we found that we had common ground. Instead of feeling worried in a clinical atmosphere, my nurse treated me friendly and warmly.
I'm not going to lie, I was so worried checking in. When your husband hugs you goodbye standing outside of the ER, you don't know if you will come out of the hospital with COVID symptoms or admitted for viral pneumonia!
Having a kind and caring nurse is beyond huge to have emotional comfort especially when you feel all alone. I am so thankful for Kelly's excellent care while at the ER!
