Kelly is also funny and silly in a way that made me feel not so terrible about being in the hospital and away from my kids.
My experience with Kelly goes back to around the first of the year. I work for WestMont, and I was in the ER several times with a client who was very ill. I loved when Kelly was our nurse. My client, who, sadly, has passed, was not the easiest patient. Kelly was always incredibly sensitive and kind towards him, and to me when I accompanied him. He was verbal but could not communicate, and she made sure to include him in conversations while getting information from his staff, which is not always an easy thing. It always made a tough situation a little easier when Kelly was there.

I was hospitalized for meningitis; Kelly was my nurse that night and the next. She was very kind and made a terrible situation brighter. She's very compassionate and was clearly concerned about my comfort. The second night I was her patient, she came in with a drink and said she brought me a "mocktail", and it was a good comfort drink. It was 7up and orange juice, and it was delicious. Kelly is also funny and silly in a way that made me feel not so terrible about being in the hospital and away from my kids.
I passed most of this along to Kelly myself, but I hope she gets some recognition for her efforts as well. She managed to make some really tough situations more bearable for me, and I sincerely appreciate her for that.
