Kelly always exemplifies what compassion and care at the bedside looks like. She never lets her patients or their families feel like they are rushed, she never has an air of frustration and makes time stand still in her patient's room so they feel her undivided attention. She always sits and listens to them, holds their hands and completely focuses on them. One doctor was truly touched when she sat through a family meeting, made the patient and family comfortable and held translator phone for the patient, because he could not, for the entire meeting.
This is not a onetime occurrence; Kelly is a strong leader on the unit, an excellent collaborative and has touched so many lives at the bedside and at this hospital. She is beautiful inside and out, and her spirit radiates around her.
