I arrived at RMH labor and delivery and had an emergency C-section for placental abruption. It was a traumatic experience and everything happened so quickly. My parents, as well as other family members, weren't aware of the extent of my condition. After delivery of my daughter, I went into DIC. Kelly took the time to personally sit down with my parents and me and explain what was happening and what the next steps were. She truly was an angel in my darkest hour. I was scared and uncertain and she made me feel at ease and understand what to expect from this point on. She went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and my pain was under control. Multiple times throughout the night she checked in to see if not only I needed anything, but if my parents needed anything. One of the main things that truly sticks out to me about Kelly is her heart, she truly cares about her patients and how they feel. She asked about my daughter and her condition multiple times. I truly felt like Kelly cared about me as a person and not just my condition/what I was in the hospital for. In my opinion, she is a great nurse and she truly touched my heart and life as well as my families. I am appreciative of her over the top care she provided to me through this experience.
