Even on the day that Kenya wasn’t our nurse, she went out of her way to help and encourage us through our recovery here.
For the 16 days here in the hospital, Kenya has been our nurse. She admitted us and made us feel welcome off the bat. Even on the day that she wasn’t our nurse, she went out of her way to help and encourage us through our recovery here. She offered advice, encouragement, and emotional support, and kept us informed of our progress after she was done. It’s good to have a nurse that works as she does and that shows the care she has for her patients. She looks out for her coworkers to assist in any way; if she is able to help, she provides. She gets pulled in different directions; the way she works shows a lot about her work ethic.
When the call bell is lit, she promptly answers or if she is backed up with a patient, she lets us know a time as soon as she is freed up. She gives each of her patients her fullest and best attention so they receive the best care. It gives me comfort for a nurse to give care and comfort in the hospital to get better until discharged. Thinking of a nurse like Kenya makes us come back to that hospital to get our illness and problems taken care of. In looking back on the 16 days, I would like to thank Kenya and her coworkers for the care and time to help us heal. As a nurse for almost 40 years years, it’s good to see a nurse take her job as it should. Kenya has gone above and beyond as a nurse.
