Before the procedure, the patient took his necklace off because he was going into the operating room much to his dislike. The necklace was sentimental as it had been given to him by his now-deceased wife. After surgery, the patient's belongings were returned to him. While getting dressed he placed the necklace that was in a denture cup on the bed and forgot to put it back on. The patient was discharged home. Later that evening he called Woodland surgery to say he left his necklace there. Kerri heard of the information and remembered what the necklace looked like because she asked him to take it off. Kerri felt so bad because she knew its value to the patient. Kerri took it upon herself to jump in the Woodland dumpster and went through the trash. She found the necklace! The patient came to pick it up and was tearful and thankful that Kerri was able to retrieve it for him!
