I had my first child in December and my goal was to have a natural, un-medicated birth. While I knew this would be difficult, it turned into the hardest thing I have ever done, and probably ever will do. I was only able to get through my labor and delivery without pain medication because of my incredible nurse, Kerry. She was calm and patient with me. She was very supportive of my birth plan and spent hours massaging my back and showing me different ways to relieve the discomfort. She included my husband in the birthing process and made him feel involved throughout the entire labor and delivery. She even thought to take pictures of my husband helping me through my contractions and I will cherish those forever. I immediately trusted Kerry from the start and truly felt she was advocating for me and my son. I will never forget this experience and I will always be grateful that Kerry was my nurse that day.
