My mother-in-law was brought into the ER because she had a terrible fall in a nursing home and broke her femur. My mother-in-law has advanced dementia, is very confused, and is in a lot of pain. From the time we came to the fifth floor, throughout the process of planning surgery and worrying about her, Kiara was a solid rock and took such great care of my mother-in-law.

As soon as we arrived, she and a technician cleaned her position her and explained everything to us. She was so communicative, it was an on-call holiday situation, and she was more than happy to contact the doctors and do anything she could to advocate for my family. I am a nurse myself, and I cannot overstate the importance of having a nurse who truly cares about her patients.

She has been on top of every situation, communicated well with all care team members, and has just been very loving and patient with all of us, as we have worried about what to do for my mother-in-law. She definitely needs to be recognized for her expertise, compassion, willingness to go above and beyond, and her patience.
