Kim saved a patient's life. She recognized that a baby was not acting himself and showed signs that the patient needed further testing for meningitis. She pushed and pushed the team of doctors her whole shift to get an LP on the baby. She was a true patient advocate. When the team agreed to do an LP, the results came back almost immediately. This infection had not been seen at the hospital in 30 years. If Kim had not caught these signs, this baby could have lost his life. The family could have lost their child who was not even a year old. Kim was a blessing to this family and saved a patient's life.
