Kim, you were my mom's nurse during the last days of her life. I wanted to write and say thank you for everything you did for my mom and our family during those days. My mom was an incredibly kind, vibrant, and loving person. She's the strongest women I have ever known, and she fought cancer three separate times during her beautiful life. The days we spent in the ICU were some of the most terrifying and traumatic days my family has ever experienced, and it means so much to us to know that my mom was treated with dignity and kindness when she was at the most vulnerable. I can't imagine how challenging it must be to be a nurse and I know that you probably don't always get the appreciation you deserve. I have thought of you and my gratitude for your professionalism and kindness often over these last weeks and I know my mom would want me to share that with you so from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
