I am writing to you today to inform you of the fantastic nursing care my father in law recently received in your facility. He was inpatient in your facility. He was initially supposed to only be a 23-hour observation, but this quickly turned into a full admission.
Unbeknownst to him, his entire family had planned a surprise party for his and my mother in law's 80th birthday. He had family come in from multiple states. We debated if we should let the secret out, so his distant family could at least come and see him, but still held out hope that we could somehow achieve a surprise for him.
However, we also recognized that bringing close to 50 people into the hospital would cause a massive disruption for him, and the other patients on the floor, so we sought guidance from the hospital staff. This is where Kim came to me and suggested that we use the waiting room. This area is closed on the weekends. She assured me that it was okay, and we came back on Saturday evening to enact the surprise. He was completely overwhelmed, and it thoroughly brightened his day.
I am a nurse and believe me, I understand your staff did not even need to entertain the idea of having that many visitors. But instead, they welcomed us and even helped us achieve our surprise.
