We came in as a patient. We left as a friend. The doctors, nurses, respiratory and physical therapists, the dialysis techs, and so many more who walked alongside us for 21 days helped us get through the most painful times myself and my family have ever experienced. The admittance, the numerous blood draws, CT scans, dialysis treatments, lung treatments, tubes, wires, and the insurmountable pain we all went through were impossible to endure without God’s strength and the support, updates, love, encouragement, tenderness, updates of ongoing plans and just a real genuine feeling that we were truly cared for and my husband was in good hands with the ICU staff.

Special thanks to Mike PCT; you were so kind, and I loved that you called B “Captain.” Meg, we couldn’t have done the last day without you. Simona, your kind heart and conversation were healing. Nancy, for always keeping things moving and me updated. Geanie, your friendship! Bethany, Courtney, Muriel, Jason, Shaheen, Trina, Kristin and so many more!
