I am a Performance Improvement Manager at Saint Elizabeth, and I have personally seen Kristen go above and beyond on multiple occasions, actually more often than not. During recent improvement project initiatives for the ED, she has willingly volunteered for additional responsibilities on numerous occasions. She consistently exemplifies her core values, specifically excellence and compassion as she is a constant patient advocate, at the same time balancing the desire for excellence and improving the operations and environment of the Saint Elizabeth emergency department.
Kristen is a proven leader and it is clear she is well respected among her peers by the way they interact with her leadership during high-stress times. Her compassion for patients and peers is hard to match. After a difficult case in the ER, she made it a priority to be on the lookout for red flags and her coworkers' attitudes and prioritized an after-action debrief for a particular individual who was struggling with the circumstances. She is an outstanding role model and a true DAISY Nurse. I look forward to working alongside her for years to come.
