Kristen Martin is the definition of teamwork. She is flexible and plays all major roles including nurse, nurse tech, secretary, and transporter. She is intuitive to the needs of her peers and can sense when her help is needed. Patients on our unit are never "her patients" or "my patients", it is always "our patients".
Kristen cares for patients as she would her own family. She smiles at them, and does everything in her power to make them feel warm and cared for, just as if they were at home. Her presence creates an everlasting memory in their hearts. Days, weeks, even months down the road, if we cross paths again, patients and family would always recall that Kristin was their nurse.
Kristen once said, "I can't imagine myself being anything but a nurse." She is passionate about nursing, dedicated to patients and puts 100% effort in every day.
