I have had the pleasure of working with Kristen with several of the babies she primaries. Kristen is amazing with her positive attitude and global view of every baby. She notices, or asks for a consult to learn each baby's developmental strengths, and carefully but very consistently encourages these and explains these to parents. I have seen many parents blossom in their confidence of interacting with their babies, as Kristen guides and encourages them throughout their stay. Her interest in the babies and their steady accomplishments, no matter how small, endears her to the parents - who consistently share their child's achievements with her, long after the babies are out of Kristen's care. She is a great ambassador for Seattle Children's as families remember her interest and compassion for a long time after they are discharged.
