Professor Ziegler-Horwath has been instrumental to our success in the accelerated BSN program at PLU. Professor Ziegler-Horwath has taken an active role in discussions, assignments, conversations, and in-person labs. She lives several hours away and has driven across the state to facilitate our learning in simulation labs that involve her specialty. She has invited us to seminars where she was a guest speaker. She has advocated for us when things weren't going well in our brand-new accelerated program. She has voiced her opinions and has made improvements to the curriculum that have made a huge difference to our success. Professor Ziegler-Horwath goes out of her way, time and time again, to provide supplemental materials, constructive feedback, interactive and meaningful discussions, and challenging questions and ideas to consider as nurses. She is a healthcare provider, in addition to teaching at PLU, which one would never expect, given her dedication and commitment to seeing us become smart, outstanding nurses.
