I was with my 19-year-old daughter in the ED, who has an extensive and concerning health history. Our daughter's plan of care includes a stop at the Riverside ED for hydration, and the physicians on duty to consult with her specialist to determine the next steps. As it turns out our daughter's issues for this visit were more complicated than we realized and she would require a transfer by ambulance as well as a minor surgery. Kristin was my daughter's nurse and she was kind, compassionate, professional, and completely cool.

She made sure we knew the situation was serious, without making us nervous. Kristin demonstrated excellent leadership when newer nurses asked questions as well. Kristin's care as a nurse goes deeper than the ER: my husband and I ran into her at what turned out to be a mutual friend's family event. When I thanked her for all she did for us she sincerely wanted to know how our daughter was doing. Kristin is truly an amazing, hard-working nurse, and I am grateful our daughter benefited from her practice and care.
