Not sure how we could ever have gone through these last 6 ½ years without Kristina and the whole team.
I have been a patient of Dr. H’s for over 6 years. Kristina has been one of my nurses throughout my cancer treatment. She has always been a great communicator for me while I am at the hospital as well as when I am home. Cancer is such an awful disease and is very scary. It’s amazing how she is able to say all the right things to put me at ease, but will be very honest too.
Kristina has been extremely helpful with disability papers, prescriptions we need, referrals, etc. After undergoing a stem cell transplant, chemotherapy, total body radiation, and ongoing treatment, it's so welcoming to see her smile and hear her comforting laughter. She is so kind, patient, and understanding. Such a great listener too. I feel like she is my go-to “therapist”- understanding so much of what I have been going through. It has been such a pleasure having the amazing care from her and the whole staff too.

My husband was diagnosed 6 ½ years ago with MDS. We were shocked and devastated, to say the least. He was only 57 when diagnosed. We have learned how very important it is to trust and really love your doctors, nurses, techs, and staff. We met Kristina Miller 6 ½ years ago and she has been an absolute blessing to us! She really seems to completely understand all we are going through. So gentle, sympathetic, and knowledgeable.
Whenever (which can be an awful lot) things did not go well, I could always count on her to listen and help us. She goes above and beyond. I wonder how she can work in this field, with so many critical patients. I know it can be beautiful and rewarding, but also heartbreaking. Takes some really strong people. When things got scary, I could count on a hug and someone to cry along with me. It means the world to have that kind of support. Not sure how we could ever have gone through these last 6 ½ years without Kristina and the whole team. I strongly nominate Kristina Miller for her professionalism, empathy, truly loving her patients, beautiful smile, and infectious laugh. It takes a lot to bring a smile while going through when what have been through, but, she can do it!
