Kristy Ahlgrim, MBA, BSN, RN

This DAISY Nurse Leader has been truly instrumental in growing me and many other leaders in this hospital. She has not only been with Ascension since “the land before time,” but she has also stuck with Ascension through many ups and downs, with different leaders and leadership styles. She is always consistent. She is strong and straightforward when giving direction but is also able to listen to your suggestions. She is honest and fights for you when you are unable to. She is the first person to let you grow and make mistakes and never judges you or says, “I told you so.” When you come to her with failures, she is the first person to walk you through how and what you could have done better. She loves to teach!! She started as a PCT and is a director because of hard work and a no-quit attitude. She exemplifies all of the Ascension values and is the backbone of this hospital. Kristy is not just a DAISY Nurse Leader, she is the foundation (dirt) that all the other DAISY Nurse Leaders grow!! I feel blessed to be in her long leadership lineage and excited to be on her team.
