Kristy has demonstrated the compassionate care that the DAISY Award exemplifies to one of our burn patients. She established that special connection with S the first day that she cared for him. He was admitted in October 2019 and is still at Tampa General Hospital due to the large nature of his burn. Since S spent the holidays with our team, Kristy wanted to make Valentine's very special for this young man. She rallied the burn team together and asked everyone to make handmade cards for S. He smiled so big when he was given his "box of love" from the TGH Burn Team. He has since decorated his room with the cards to help keep his spirits up during difficult times. Kristy has made a significant difference in his life. She represents the DAISY qualities of caring and compassion. She has also made an impact on her co-workers as well by showing them the compassionate care she demonstrated towards S. Thank you for recognizing Kristy!
