Krystal began in the educator role in the last few years, but her passion for learning is contagious. She works to create a safe environment for those she is working with and exemplifies a DAISY Nurse Educator. Krystal intentionally rounds on her units, supports her teammates and captively listens to the teammates. She even pitches in on the busy units answering call lights and helping patients.  

Krystal models a love of learning by sharing opportunities she finds, and she is currently enrolled in her DNP program. Krystal is adaptable and flexible, working hard to meet the needs of those around her. She is an excellent communicator and offers her full attention to those she is working with. Krystal is an avid cheerleader for her colleagues, supporting, loving, and nurturing them along their journey. Krystal identifies a variety of teaching methods and adapts to meet the needs of the learners with whom she is working. Her passion is palpable when she has been leading the Educator 101 courses.  

When I think of the ideal educator, Krystal is the first one who comes to mind. She radiates joy in all she does, making a positive and lasting impact on everyone she touches.
