I was having a wound vac change and the IV failed. On one side of the bed was a nurse frantically trying to change the IV so pain medicine could be administered. On the other side was the wound care nurse changing the dressing. KD stayed at the head of my bed the whole time to offer support. It was very thoughtful of her as my family was away and I was alone. She stayed until it was over and this meant the world to me. There are many similar stories of her showing me kindness during my extended stay at Landmark. Even if I’m not her patient, she always checks on me when she is here. She soothes and cares for me above and beyond. I trust her and appreciate that she has such a caring nature and she has my best interest at heart. She is truly special and she needs to be recognized.
