Kyle was on duty when my son arrived at the ED for an attempted suicide with an overdose. Kyle immediately recognized the seriousness of the situation and took every measure to be sure my son received the correct protocol for this situation. He was calm, informative and compassionate. He not only took care of my son's medical needs, he was also very understanding and compassionate about his emotional state. He was able to do this while he was also training a student. In addition, he was sympathetic and understanding of us as parents and what we might be feeling. He provided us with information each step of the way.
After my son left the ED and was admitted to the hospital, Kyle took the time to come and visit my son and check on him. He showed my son he cared about him and his future. Kyle was a bright spot in a very difficult situation and we are forever grateful for the care he provided.
