Kyle Graham is a registered nurse (RN) who practices in the Endoscopy unit. Kyle is being honored with the DAISY Award for going above and beyond for the patients and families he cares for. In one particular situation, Kyle discovered a wound on a patient that hadn’t previously been noted or found. Kyle immediately found the Wound Care nurse and brought her to the patient to examine them. When returning the patient to their primary unit, Kyle found the primary nurse and explained the newly found wound to them. He also notified the patient’s Nurse Practitioner. Kyle went above and beyond to make sure this patient’s wound received attention and care.
Kyle is described by his peers as being a very kind and considerate nurse. He is known for being courteous and caring to all of his patients. They take note of how he is careful to not risk comprising the care he delivers to his patients. His peers state that he is a team player that is easy to work with and helps anyone with anything they need. They feel very lucky to have Kyle working in their unit.
Because of Kyle’s compassionate and caring efforts, his patients experience a level of care that exemplifies the impact nurses have in creating an environment where patients and families feel at home.
