I feel Kyle is a role model other nurses should emulate. I believe that the impact of my recovery was motivated by his true compassion, reliability and teamwork.
It is with great pleasure that I write you today to nominate Kyle Lyden, RN, for the DAISY Award. He works at TriPoint Hospital in Concord, Ohio. The first encounter with Kyle was directly from surgery. I was in extreme pain. He quickly gave me my pain medication and did everything he could- pillows, blankets, meds- you name it to get me comfortable.
Four hours later, he had orders to get me out of bed, and due to my incision, it took three people. His compassion made me feel safe and cared for. His healing touch wiped the tears from my eyes and my hair out of my face. With calming words and voice, he assured me I could go as slow as I needed and that I would not feel rushed. Kyle Lyden, RN, is an extraordinary person and clinician. He is highly skilled, extremely knowledgeable, very compassionate, and a great team player.
During my stay while under his care, he displayed the highest ethical standards, and I felt him to be a great patient advocate. I feel Kyle is a role model other nurses should emulate. I believe that the impact of my recovery was motivated by his true compassion, reliability and teamwork.
