Kylee K Wickline, BSN

Kylee Wickline is devoted to the holistic care of her patients and family. She admitted a patient who suffered a cardiac arrest on his anniversary by choking on food at his anniversary dinner with his wife. Kylee worked hard to provide life-saving measures and sustain this patient. The wife had told her stories of their marriage and how it was a tradition that they had ice cream with every anniversary dinner. The wife ultimately decided to withdraw care, a difficult decision for any spouse to make. Prior to compassionately extubating, this nurse took ice cream, melted it, and gave it to the patient through his PEG tube. She also provided the wife with her own cup so they could have one last anniversary ice cream date together. She then took the time to create a memory stone for his wife ~ a stone with his fingerprints. She is an incredibly skilled nurse who goes above and beyond for her patients and the well-being of their families.
