Lacey Krchnak, RN

One day in late April, a very critical patient came into the Grimes ER. Lacey, along with an amazing multidisciplinary team, worked tirelessly to stabilize the patient. During the duration of the stay, Lacey showed leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and communication skills to ensure the patient and family received the best care possible. She made it a point to stop and address the family and their concerns when time permitted in between care and treatments. It was evident that Lacey became a true advocate for this patient. She found a balance to respectfully yet assertively promote the best care for this patient. She faced many obstacles, yet always managed to keep the patient's needs first and foremost.
