This leader demonstrates each of our core values at Blue Ridge and leads a highly engaged team. She is knowledgeable and confident, clinically skilled, demonstrates teamwork across departments, and consistently signed up to volunteer to work the COVID overflow unit on 4th floor.

She goes out of her way to ensure that patients are placed appropriately, especially when communicating with the Emergency Department and Behavioral Health teams regarding holds in the ED. She leads by example in all that she does at Blue Ridge and keeps the patients and her team at the center of her decisions. She steps in to help her team out when needed and volunteers to reallocate staff to assist other areas as needed.

She genuinely connects with patients and teammates; her unit is highly engaged and a high-functioning unit. She assists in challenging patient situations and develops a wonderful rapport with patients and their families, which is essential in those situations. She has a very calming nature and demonstrates her ability to maintain that nature in chaotic situations.

She inspires and coaches others with compassion and empathy and holds them accountable to our standards and core values at Blue Ridge. She collaborates well with others and is an essential piece of our nurse leadership team. She is dedicated to the overall purpose of being the best healthcare facility in order to serve our community with excellent care.
