Sister Weston gave me the reassurance I needed to leave my brother overnight.
My brother sadly passed away this morning on ward 21 Cardiology; Sister Weston could not do enough for us. My brother significantly deteriorated in just a few days. Last night a marked deterioration was evident particularly towards later evening. When his cannula came out last night and blood was everywhere, it was Sister Weston that helped and was talking to my brother whilst he was restless and agitated, in a kind and compassionate way.

Sister Weston gave me the reassurance I needed to leave my brother overnight; I felt comforted knowing that he would be looked after and receive the care that he deserved. I am a nurse myself and know and appreciate how busy ward staff are. Sister Weston spent time explaining how my brother had been through the night and how they had looked after him. Words cannot express how grateful and comforted I feel on the knowledge that my brother was cared for in the last few hours of his life.
