My mother was hospitalized recently, and the entire staff was amazing. The 5th floor nurses stood out, I remember this nurse the day we were supposed to be transferred to Baptist Memphis hospital; we were scheduled to be transferred by ambulance at 12:45 pm, but we didn't get transferred until 12:30 am, she was persistent in checking on the status of the ambulance service. Every 30 minutes she was updating us on the status. The later it turned she advised us to take a nap and that she would let us know when the ambulance arrives. She provided linen for us to take a nap. Around midnight she notified us the transfer was in motion. Besides her caring bedside manner, she showed compassion for the long wait. She really went out of her way to make us feel comfortable.
