Lauren Odegard, RN

Lauren should receive the daisy award because she treated me as a daughter, not just a patient.  She held my hand when I was in pain.  Let me squeeze her hand while I was in pain.  Lauren let our family into her heart, she interacted with my siblings and talked to me as a friend.  She talked me through pain and hugged me in times of sorrow.  Lauren went above and beyond she made me a schedule on the white board, and know when I needed my special drink which by the way she told me about.  Cranberry juice and sprite.  She would check up on me when I was having a bad day or if I was not her patient that day.  She would always keep us up to date and give us new ideas.  She did touch all our hearts!  She went step by step and let my little brother see everything when she changed my IV.  It was extra special when she brought me down to the garden outside.  Yes, any nurse would do that but she had some deep conversation on the way down and it was extra special for me.  Lauren is not just any nurse she changes people’s lives and made my hospital stay good for staying in the hospital.  Lauren if you see this we loved you as our/my nurse.  I will miss you and the memories I made with you will be cherished.
