This nurse walked me through one of the scariest, seemingly impossible moments of my life. She was attentive and present and gave me individualized care and attention that made me feel like her utmost priority. She kept me informed and allowed me to feel in control of my medical care. She was meticulous and had an excellent bedside manner. She made you feel like you had known her forever. As my birth plan went from as natural as possible to a cesarean section rapidly, she helped me to make peace with that decision in the moments I didn’t feel I could do it any longer and wanted to shut down. She looked out for me and my baby. She takes quick action in emergency situations. She is the reason we are both here and healthy today.
