Laurie Johnson 2, RN

Laurie Johnson was one of the fine nurses who took care of my mother during her recent hospitalization and eventual passing. Laurie was caring and kind to my mother and our entire family and went above to keep the family updated, comforted and aware of our options. She seemed to “just know” the right thing to say or do. My mother mentioned her often in her last days and even wanted to know if “she could be a part of our family.” No higher recommendation can be given than that!  I understand the importance of the DAISY Award since both my wife and daughter are nurses. The award is a “pat on the back” for a profession that doesn’t receive enough of that and she deserves this recognition from her “adopted” family.
