Larry displayed professionalism every minute that he spent with me. Larry is always smiling and uplifting with his patients. There is a specific afternoon that I was feeling a bit down while waiting for my numbers to come up enough that I could get unhooked from fluids and feel better. Larry took the time to have a real conversation with me about me. He wanted to know how I was doing beyond the treatment I was getting and any issues I was having with the treatment. We talked about my concern for the things at home, such as needing to move by the end of May and my release date kept getting set back because of me catching the flu or whatever the cause. Larry took the time to make me feel important and to validate the feelings I was having about not being able to contribute to any solutions at home. Larry is a great asset to the BMTU and the Seattle Health Care System, both as a very knowledgeable nurse and as a Veteran taking care of Veterans at some of our toughest times in life.
