Leah works quickly, effectively, and safely in a fast-paced and often chaotic setting and does so with such an enthusiastic attitude.

In every respect, Leah Adams has been an outstanding and exceptional leader. There is no leader I would recommend more highly than Leah for this award. I have had the pleasure of working with Leah for 7+ years and first remember her in my ANM role in the ED. She brought so much light and energy, to a sometimes grey and stormy department. I just remember her asking to take on more patients, so her peers did not have to. Since then, she has grown and progressed in various roles, including hospital supervisor, relief charge nurse and now ANM of FP. I don't think there is a single thing she wouldn't do for her team or this hospital (I am still trying to figure it out, lol), especially if it means dressing up as buddy the elf or putting glitter on everything.

Throughout the pandemic, Leah never once hesitated to take on more responsibilities, including being a charge nurse at CMFC second floor, charge nurse on 9N, training as hospital supervisor and volunteered herself with enthusiasm to take ownership of 70+ travelers when we opened 9N...and did so very successfully. Leah works quickly, effectively, and safely in a fast-paced and often chaotic setting and does so with such an enthusiastic attitude. Leah's work ethic is impeccable, as she is always looking for projects and other ways to improve efficiency and patient quality.

Over the past couple of years, I have watched Leah grow greatly both personally and professionally during this time. She has always been an excellent nurse and has grown into becoming a tremendous leader. She truly lives and exemplifies the core values of integrity, compassion, justice, dignity, and excellence in everything she does both professionally and in her personal life. She has transformed the orientation process, and nurtures such a safe and positive environment for her peers and those she leads. Working with Leah has been one of the major joys of my nursing and leadership career. In everything she does, Leah is an active participant who shapes the preceding and leaves a lasting impression on others.

Leah has been and anchor for the float pool nights. When we have questions, scheduling conflicts or a shoulder to cry on she has been available. Thanks to Leah's efforts float pool nights has been supported and we feel as we haven't been forgotten.
