December 2010 Honoree
lenny shephard, RN
Lenny Shepard, RN (Night Nursing Supervisor, South)
Nominated by: Wanda Coatney
Lenny approaches every situation in a positive, professional, and compassionate manner. I have great appreciation for his knowledge base and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients, families, and staff. My greatest appreciation comes from when my daughter was a patient in PICU/Peds for 32 days.
Lenny explained and taught me about head injuries. He told me about both the positive and negative signs she was exhibiting. In the grimmest of situations, I always had hope after talking with him. I also had a better understanding of what was occurring with my daughter.
As an employee, I have seen Lenny approach every situation with the same calm, reassuring manner. He is a great asset to CoxHealth.
