My husband is treated for wound care. After his 3rd debridement, our schedule for wound care was 3x a week under the doctor. Then when it was already 2x a week, we were left under the care of Nurse Lesselle. She patiently cleaned and treated the large wounds on both lower legs of my husband. While doing the wound care, she told me to observe, and she taught me how to do it in case of emergency. One time, we missed our weekly schedule because of my husband’s dialysis session. I became worried because the wound started to emit a foul odor. I remembered how Nurse Lesselle instructed and taught me on cleaning/treating the wound in case of emergency. I just followed her instructions, and I did it successfully. If Nurse Lesselle had not taught me, I would have panicked and may not have been able to do wound care for my husband. Thank you nurse Lesselle, I will never forget the care you did to my husband and for empowering me to do what I need to do in case of emergency. I am now confident to handle a similar situation in the future.
